Hello everyone!

We would like to take this opportunity to let everyone know that Paul and Kristi Fulcher (original owners of Carters) have partnered with Mechanicsville High School Boosters to help fundraise for the school’s Athletic Department!

Paul has been coaching Boys Basketball at Mechanicsville for three years. Kristi is in her first year as the Attendance Admin at Mechanicsville, and is loving it! Carter and Olivia will be volunteering as well!

Last update! We have brisket. Ribs. Beef. And not much of it. We do have some sides. But will be out fairly quickly.

2nd update! Completely out of pork bbq. We have brisket, pulled beef, and should have a few racks of ribs.

Update! Yall have overwhelmed us!! Both physically and with all of the messages, texts, and comments. We truly feel loved and appreciated. Since we have been absolutely slammed this week, and again, thanks for that!! We have very little bbq, but have a good amount of ribs, chicken, brisket, and sides. So if you were waiting to come, now is the time. We will likely not be open tomorrow.

It is with heavy hearts, we are closing for good December 31st. The past 16 years have been truly gratifying. We set out to bring great bbq, at a fair price, to our home in Mechanicsville. The porch conversations, the “regulars”, the families we have seen grow up, will never be forgotten. But due to runaway costs since the pandemic started, it just doesn’t make sense to continue. We thank you for your laughs, suggestions, patience and most of all support for the past almost 16 years. Stop through this week, get some great bbq, wash it down with one of kind limeade, and of course finish with our famous banana pudding on last time!

Starting tomorrow, while supplies last, we will have Brunswick Stew! Temp drops, soups up! Jam packed with roasted tomato chunks, asparagus, yellow and white corn, green beans, carrots, celery, onions and of course our smoked chicken, pork, and brisket! We will be serving by the half and whole pint. Come by and see us, or order with doordash!
