There will be a change in our hours Friday, Sept 18th. We have the great honor and privilege to feed an amazing group of bicyclists from South Carolina, C3 A Challenge to Conquer Cancer, who ride their bikes from South Carolina to Maine every year for the Dempsey Challenge, raising money and awareness for cancer and cancer research. We are always so honored that for the 13th or 14th year, they are choosing Kathy's Diner as their final stop before the end of their journey to Lewiston/Auburn. Because of that, we will NOT be open for lunch Friday, but we will be open for breakfast from 6AM-10AM. We will have our full seafood menu for you all tomorrow, Thurs., Sept 17th, instead of Friday!

Unfortunately, we will not be reopening tomorrow as planned. I am still extremely sore from my test yesterday, moreso than expected, and need an extra recovery day. The hope right now is to reopen on Saturday, September 12th. We will definitely keep you all updated if anything changes, and we look forward to coming back and reopening Saturday!

We WILL be open tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th!

I told many of you last week that we would be closed Wednesday, August 26th, because I (Kellie) had a medical diagnostic procedure/test this week, but unfortunately they called today to reschedule it. Because I will not be having my test done and won't need the recovery time after it until the new date, we WILL be OPEN Wednesday, August 26th, and will be closed Wednesday, September 9th and Thursday, September 10th instead, my new testing date. Sorry for the confusion! See you all Wednesday during our normal business hours!

Due to the extreme heat forecasted for the next few days, we will be closing early on both Thursday and Friday. We will be serving breakfast only from 6AM-10:30AM for the rest of the week (because we will not be open for lunch, we are expanding our breakfast hours the next two days until 10:30AM, instead of 10AM), before resuming our normal hours Saturday, July 4th!

This decision has been made with the well-being of our crew and customers in mind, as our air conditioning unfortunately can't keep up with this kind of prolonged heat. The temperature in the kitchen today was measuring over 100°, and the dining room over 80°, with the worst of the heat wave yet to come. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. We look forward to resuming our regular hours next week and seeing you all either for breakfast this week or then.

Update 8:30AM- it's looking like we won't be able to open until 11AM for lunch.

We are going to have a delayed opening today due to issues with our grill. I will update you all on our opening time. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will definitely be open for lunch.
