Oldie but a goodie. Me in the classic 80s pose of every 80s record album, and my best friend Robert who was not warned of the side effect of steroids. He never grew another inch after this picture. I am sure Mary can tell you about the other side effects it caused him. 🤏

I do remember those pants with the elastic bottoms though, and we are both rocking our leather hats. Over in the left corner is the trash bag Robert would save all of his skoal can lids to turn in for points. Who remembers the Camel cigarette points?

I wouldn't feel right if I didnt warn those who plan on attending tonight's festivities. If you are driving into town look out for these two! They have been trying this trick for years. Me and Robert Fellows made off with a cooler of their beer once. We were lucky. Guessing this was around 1989.

If you look carefully there is nobody else in the picture 🤔. Party in Mecca with a keg and nobody is there? Yeah, we all knew better! Don't fall for their trickery! Just drive on past and wave and head to the Mecca Tavern. You will be safe there.

I know they sure dont make Milk Crates like they use to!

Hopefully Lee is feeling better and gets to attend the party tomorrow night! Lee was the 1984 Mecca School Carnival Queen. Remember our the school carnivals? I hear she might break out her crown for tomorrow nights festivities. We will all be in the presence of royalty!

Not long after having my brother my mom lost her mind. This was her before we had to commit her back in 1983. Not until she had me did she become the charming personality you all know her for today. I have always been the best kid.

We ask customers to please not give her alcohol. We dont want her to relapse.

Back in the day I heard Mecca Tavern sold Boones Farm Apple wine for $5 a bottle. I personally never participated in such things. I was home doing my homework. 🤷‍♂️
