Patty - The Patterson-Gimlin Film

Some Bigfoot footage gets shared around. Some gets debated. And then there’s Patty.

Captured on October 20, 1967, along Bluff Creek in Northern California, the Patterson-Gimlin film has been scrutinized, analyzed, stabilized, slowed down, enhanced, disputed, defended, and endlessly revisited for nearly six decades.

And yet, somehow, it keeps drawing us back.

There’s something about watching that figure step out into the frame, cross the creek bed, turn briefly toward the camera, and continue into the trees. The stride. The apparent musculature. The movement. That unmistakably human-looking, but not quite human quality.

For Bigfoot enthusiasts, Patty isn’t simply an old film. She’s a doorway.

You can approach the Patterson-Gimlin film as a skeptic, a believer, a researcher, or simply someone fascinated by one of the most enduring mysteries in American folklore. But if you’ve spent any time exploring the Bigfoot phenomenon, chances are you’ve watched it more than once.

And probably slowed it down.

🍂 A Little Fall R&R Is On The Menu

The weather has turned wonderfully mild, the air has that unmistakable early-Fall feel, and around Titusville the trees are beginning to show off those bold reds, golds, and oranges.

So, naturally, we’re taking the hint.

Lucantino’s Trattoria will be closed through October 2nd for a little Fall Sabbatical. A chance to step away, recharge, and enjoy a few of those beautiful early-Fall days ourselves.

We’ll be back Monday, October 5th at 7:00 AM, bright and early, with the coffee ready, the ovens warming up, and the Trattoria once again doing what it does best.

Enjoy the sunshine, watch those leaves put on their annual show, and we’ll see you Monday morning.

Well, the nights have officially turned chilly.

The kind of chilly that makes you start thinking about warm lights, cozy corners and a bowl of something wonderfully comforting.

Enter Red Pepper Gouda Soup at Lucantino’s. 🍲

Rich. Creamy. Roasty. Cheesy.

Basically, a very good argument for embracing the cold.

And since this is a short week at the Trattoria, we’re serving it up Tuesday through Thursday before we take Friday off.

Three days. One very good reason to get cozy.

More specifically, please direct your attention to the very stern finger currently pointing at the chalkboard.

There will be NO questions.

There will be NO appeals.

And there will be NO attempts to bribe management with cannoli.

Biggie has reviewed the schedule, consulted absolutely no one, and made a decision:

Lucantino’s Trattoria will be CLOSED Monday, September 21st.

Apparently, even Bigfoot needs a day off.

We have been told this is for “rest and relaxation,” although reliable sources report that Biggie has been seen investigating the whereabouts of several cannoli.

We cannot confirm these reports.

We can confirm that the cannoli will not be available Monday.

So if you need your cannoli fix, you have been officially placed on notice:

Acquire cannoli accordingly.

We’ll be back to our regularly scheduled coffees, soups, Italian favorites and, of course, the cannoli after that.

Until then, please respect the chalkboard.

And frankly, when Bigfoot is pointing at a chalkboard, you don't want to be the person who asks,

Apparently, even Bigfoot knows that a weekend without cannoli is just another walk through the woods.

Biggie stopped by Lucantino’s Trattoria, spotted the cannoli, and decided there was only one reasonable thing to do…

TAKE SOME HOME.

Locally famous. Ridiculously delicious. Perfectly suited for coffee, dessert, or whatever questionable decisions you have planned for the weekend.

And yes… Biggie has officially demonstrated the proper technique:

Grab cannoli.
Take enormous bite.
Try not to share.

🇮🇹 TIRAMISU: ITALY’S OFFICIAL ANSWER TO “I’LL JUST HAVE A LITTLE DESSERT.”

It starts innocently enough.

Lucantino’s Trattoria will be CLOSED Friday, September 4th AND Monday, September 7th.

We have received reports of unusual lights, suspicious saucer activity, and at least one cappuccino apparently levitating on its own. Authorities have been notified. The espresso machine remains under investigation. 👀
