Today is a sad day here at the Velveteen. Today is our last day open. We have enjoyed serving the community and getting to know the people here in the town of McLean. The weather is very fitting today as one of our employees had mentioned this morning. We would love to see your beautiful faces one last time before we lock the doors. Come on in, grab your favorite drink and enjoy!

The syrups and sauces are for sale so you can recreate your favorite drink at home.

To our Velveteen family and our coffee community –

Since even before we opened in March of this year, our team has been dedicated to bringing a great coffee experience to the people of Mclean, IL and the surrounding towns. We’ve had such an amazing time meeting our customers, hearing your stories, and becoming a part of your community.

While our customer and friend community continues to grow, unfortunately the limitations and obstacles in our (Brandon and Andrea’s) personal lives have created a situation where we need to step away from The Velveteen.

We are heartbroken to share this news, but we are confident that The Velveteen, under the right leadership, can continue to be a place for members of the community to come together over great coffee. We have listed our business for sale, interested parties can view details here: https://www.bhhscir.com/bloomington/tracy-haas-riley-haas-sisters-team/cid-7164/il/417-s-clinton-street-61754/pid-377826387?SearchType=Address&PropertyType=1%2C2&ApplicationType=FOR_SALE&ListingStatus=1&NewListing=false&PageSize=32&Page=1.

We are heartbroken to share that we are closing our doors on July 31st. We will continue to serve our customers until this date. Please note that loyalty rewards points and gift cards will no longer be redeemable after the 31st.

We plan to keep everyone posted as this chapter of our journey unfolds. Regardless, we’re grateful for all of you, and looking forward to what the future holds.
