TAV (short for “Taverna”) Mediterranean Bistro, a neighborhood restaurant that serves healthy Mediterranean & Middle Eastern cuisine made with fresh ingredients and herbs. The concept of TAV blossomed when our founder, Rana Sersy, felt there was a missing piece of the dining experience in McLean, Virginia: exceptional, modern Mediterranean cuisine. Having lived in Greece for 12 years, Rana had a k
een sense of the palate held within the nation that bordered the Mediterranean Sea, and desired to bring that special flavor to McLean. Located in the very same place TAV stands today, Simply Fresh became the heart of McLean, both figuratively and literally. Being awarded Entrepreneur of the Year from the Greater McLean Chamber of Commerce in 2017, Simply Fresh created a home for memorable experiences amongst individuals and families. And after 7 remarkable years, Rana knew that it was time to build upon the foundation of Simply Fresh and expand her vision. And soon the concept of TAV was born. Set to serve the McLean community with a casual, fine-dining experience of delectable dishes made with locally-sourced ingredients, TAV fills that missing puzzle piece.
