This week for Sundaes on Thursday we have The Lilies of the Midwest ! Enjoy some trad Irish tunes with fiddle and concertina in our lovely backyard!

They are a Irish traditional music group based in Madison, Wisconsin. Since their formation in 2017, their unique signature sound inspires audiences with their infectious energy and joy.

It’s a tough job, but someone had to do it. We’ve found some really fun sweet (and sour) treats for the cafe! 🍭🍬🍫

Hammond’s and Butterfield’s both have a century of expertise and the fine quality of their candies and chocolates reflect their passion.

Good Lolli is newer on the scene but puts a fun twist on lollipops with natural flavors and dehydrated fruit.

Finally, the Sour Swedish Fish from BonBon are an addictive and flavorful treat! Personally, I don’t really like sour… or gummies… but I can’t stop eating the Elderflower or Peach flavors! Look for samples in the cafe for a limited time.

This Thursday in McFarland's community backyard it's hot bluegrass and old-time from The Stop and Listen! Come on out for music, ice cream, and drinks! It'll be a real party.

Drawing from a deep repertoire of fiddle tunes, jug band songs, country blues, and string band standards, The Stop and Listen brings a driving rhythm, tight ensemble playing, extraordinary improvisation and close harmony singing with an expanded sonic palette that gives familiar traditions a distinctive voice. You *might* recognize the banjoist in this band as local McFarlander Mike Tiboris.

The Stop and Listen delivers performances that are equally engaging for devoted old-time fans and audiences discovering the tradition for the first time. Recent appearances include the Overture Center for the Performing Arts, Le Fête de Marquette, White Oak Folk Festival, The Bur Oak, The Slowpoke Lounge & Cabaret, and other venues throughout the Midwest.
