Long post....☕ A little coffeehouse PSA from a small business that loves our customers:
We’ve been in business for nearly four years, and during that time we have worked hard to keep our prices affordable. We have not raised our menu prices. In fact, we actually lowered the upcharge for alternative milks so to just covers our additional costs without cost above that from someone simply because they prefer almond, oat, or another alternative.
But there is a difference between a splash of almond milk and 8 oz of almond milk.
A double shot of espresso in a 12oz cup with a splash of almond milk is $1.92.
A 12 oz latte is is just over $4, plus 50¢ for almond milk.
A 16 oz latte with almond milk is just over $5.
So when an order is a double shot over ice in a 24 oz cup with approximately 8 oz of almond milk, that is not a double shot with a “splash.” It uses a larger cup and a significant amount of milk. We are going to charge for the drink and ingredients actually being served not a dollar and some change.
We are a small business. Cups cost money. Almond milk costs money. Espresso costs money. Keeping the lights on costs money. We do our best to keep those costs reasonable for our customers, but we cannot give away product.
More importantly, please do not pressure our younger staff members to ring something up differently after management has already explained, more than once, how that drink should be charged. Our team is expected to treat our customers with kindness and respect, and we expect the same kindness and respect for them.
The customer is always right until they’re trying to take advantage of our little coffeehouse. 😉☕️
Order what you love. We’ll happily make it. Just expect to pay for what is actually in the cup. ❤️

Just a 12oz cup of milk at Starbucks is $4! No espresso, smaller cup, no alternative milk....
