We love Jesus, bow ties, cowboy boots, cupcakes, trampolines, and playing ball. We never do anything half-way or half-hearted. We love deep and laugh hard. The only place we'd rather be than on the back porch with friends and family is out getting our hands dirty in service to someone else. Coffee was a way to do both. Coffee has always been a staple in our home, but our dream for the coffee business was bigger than ourselves and our quaint community. We wanted to make a real difference in the lives of people around the world- the ones who don't wake up to a pot of coffee because they don't wake up to a pot of water. A portion of the proceeds from every single bag we sell goes to drill wells in third world countries- $1 per pound to be exact. So, as you brew the best coffee in the world, smile. You've just drilled a little deeper to bring water to the thirsty.

Life is about creating memories. Family is about creating memories. Queen Bee Coffee is about creating memories. Even work is about creating memories. This weekend we were out creating memories. Oh yeah… there were not many cars where we were riding this weekend. It’s the trees and big mud holes I need to be afraid of.

Tomorrow is a BIG day at Queen Bee McDonough! Join us at 10 a.m. for a special story time with Dolly followed by Toddler Sensory Play with Henry County Public Library System at 10:30.

We will also be joined by ferstreadersofhenrycounty — an organization that sends free books to the children of Henry County from birth to age 5. Literacy helps build our community, and you can help by partnering through a financial donation. Help us put books in the hands of the kiddos in our county! Dolly fans unite!! And who isn’t a fan of Dolly??? We couldn’t let 9/25 come and go without a tribute to the one and only Dolly Parton. Pop in the shop on Friday in your favorite Dolly garb as we celebrate her life with special treats, new Dolly merch & her music on repeat all day long. Dolly, we will always love you.

We will also be hosting Toddler Play with the Henry County Public Library System and a short story time at 10. It’s going to be a fun day at Queen Bee. Don’t miss it!

Today is a sad day for Queen Bee. Corey was the first full time fella on our staff. He quickly assumed the role of big brother and became fast friends with all in front of and behind the counter. He has served us with excellence and will definitely leave a gap. Pop in today and wish him well. We will miss you Corey. We will keep the Conflux arrow sign pointed towards the shop so your feet will come back this way to say hello.

Be sure to come see us THIS Saturday (9/12) for our Jr. Maker’s Market! It’s happening from 10 am to 2 pm on the patio and will feature vendors aged from 4 years old to 16 years old. It’s a great opportunity to support young artists and makers in our community!
