We had a bit if a social media moment this weekend with over 65,000 views and 7,000 clicks. Thanks for all the sharing. I want to address a couple of things after all that. 1. I intentionally turned off comments for that post. 2. I obviously can't afford paid advertising and have opted for community engagement instead. We're at festivals, cars and coffee, movie in the park etc. Plenty of people know we exist. 3.our sign could be bigger but I can read it from the road so I'm sure you can too. 4. Yes the place looks a little like a haunted house. We're working on that. My point wasn't that I don't know how to promote my business (which maybe I don't) but rather that if Mayodan is to be a thriving town we need to support our small businesses. Supporting small businesses builds community, and people thrive in community. We're all people, so let's thrive together. And yes I hope some of you will engage in community at my coffee shop.

Dear Mayodan,
We love you. We really do. But you'll notice the complete lack of people in this photo. That's our normal. A number of businesses in our town are closing or reducing hours. We aren't, but I'm going to get real honest with you here. Our sales for the week sit at $32.00! And last week was $43.42! That's 3 customers in 2 weeks! "Why do I have a nearly nonexistant coffee shop in a dead little town?" you might ask. The simple answer is because I want to. The bigger picture answer is, I see a lot of potential here. Mayodan is a great place to live and it could be a great place to own a business, but right now it isnt. Your businesses need your support. We really really do!

I'm about to throw something special in the roaster today. A Sumatran coffee co-fermented with lychee. All coffee ferments either dry or in a tank of water. Typically for 8 to 48 hrs. This plays a major role in the unique flavors of different coffees. This time lychee fruit was added to the fermenting tank and the
coffee took on unique flavors from fermenting with the lychee. It's a very fruity cup with herbal notes. If you like fruit forward light roasts this is for you. I'll have a single 4oz bag of this special coffee available for $16 and I'll be serving pour over cups for $4 today until I run out. Come try
