Arbuckles Eatery & Pub in downtown Stevens Point had it's End of Summer Tap Takeover tonight. Featured breweries were 3 Sheeps (Sheboygan), Avery Brewing Company (CO), Founders Brewing Company (MI), and Downeast C***r (MA). Some new b**rs were sampled and the pork nachos (new menu item) were outstanding! BTW, if you like deep dish pizza, I highly recommend you visit Arbuckles on a Tuesday. You won't find a better deep dish pizza in central Wisconsin.

Following a golf outing today, a few of us met some friends at Point Brewery. Since its pretty local for me, this is my second most frequently visited brewery, and today they had a new hazy IPA, Das Uber, that I wanted to try. In their outdoor area, they have an old 1949 Chevy delivery truck that has a faded Point B**r logo on its side. It's great when these pieces of history are preserved enough to be enjoyed by visitors. What's your favorite b**r from Point Brewery? Mine is Drop Dead Blonde!

Anchor Bay Bar & Grill on the bank of the Wisconsin River in Biron has live music most Thursdays and Sundays starting in April and going all summer long and into the fall. Yesterday the band was Antonnettes, which is a great mix of country, rock, yacht rock and everything else from the 70s to today. Anchor Bay also has great food and atmosphere everyday. Check out the nauti nachos if you find yourself out on their patio.

Wisconsin Timber Rattlers had very little offensive punch vs the Lake County Captains tonight, but it was a great night at the ballpark.

Sentryworld wrapped up their 2026 PJ's Live series last night with one of the most popular central Wisconsin bands, The Spicy Tie Band, and they rocked the Wednesday night crowd.

Had to make a real quick stop at O'so Brewing Co & Pizzeria this afternoon to try the new Vanilla Pumpkin Cream Ale (5.5% ABV) and use my Sippin' Society perk for the week.

Our 2nd stop in Decorah, IA today was Pulpit Rock Brewing Company. No food at this brewery but they have 10 of their b**rs on tap for sampling. They also have a nice, large outdoor patio.

Wisco Happy Hour is road tripping to northeast Iowa this weekend. We'll call it Corn Cob 🌽 Happy Hour temporarily. 😊 The first stop today was my 2nd ever visit to Toppling Goliath Brewing Company in Decorah and 1st visit in 2026, making it my 32nd different brewery visited this year. They had a b**r release event going on today so it was pretty packed inside and out. I had the Cajun dry rub wings, which were sooo good that I failed to get photo evidence. I also had the Mornin' Delight, a 12% coffee stout, and a flight of 5 sours, all of which were at least "good" and the Cherry Fandango was outstanding.

On a whim last night, I made a visit to Bull Falls Brewing Company in Wausau for my 31st different brewery visited so far in 2026. This was my first visit to Bull Falls since they reopened under new ownership last year. They have 7 of their b**rs on tap, 3 of which I had previously at other establishments. The 2 I had on this visit - Munich Helles and "Heifer"weizen - were very good. The helles was particularly light and drinkable. The bar area was pretty full with other visitors seated at tables as well, which is a great sign of the support for this brewery on a Wednesday evening. Bull Falls has a small food menu as well. I went with the Bavarian pretzel with mustard, but the wings looked really good too, so I'll try those on my next visit.
