❤️ A Special Prayer for Our Maw-Nita ❤️
Today, we’re asking our Pinchers family and this incredible community to surround someone very special to us with love and prayer.
Last Sunday, our beloved Maw-Nita suffered a stroke.
For those who have followed our story, you’ve heard us talk about Maw-Nita many times.
She taught us so much of what we know about cooking. She taught us that some of the best meals don’t come from fancy recipes, but from a little instinct, a lot of love, and years spent around a kitchen table.
But more importantly, she taught us how to take care of people.
She taught us that when someone walks through your door, you feed them. You make room for them. You make them feel welcome. You make sure they leave knowing they were loved.
Long before we ever called it “hospitality,” Maw-Nita was showing us what hospitality looked like.
Those lessons have followed our family through generations, and they are woven into so much of what we try to do every day at Pinchers.
Last Sunday, Maw-Nita suffered a stroke, and right now our family is spending these precious moments surrounding her with the same love she has spent a lifetime giving to all of us.
We are praying. We are holding her hand. We are loving on her. And above everything else, we are trusting God.
Of course, our hearts want more time. You’re never ready to say goodbye to someone who has been such a big part of your life.
But Maw-Nita has always been strong in her faith.
And because of that, there is also peace in our hearts knowing that whenever God decides her work here is finished, she is ready to meet her Creator.
If He chooses to call her home, we know the same God she has loved and trusted throughout her life will be there to welcome her into His Kingdom.
Until then, we pray for comfort. We pray for peace. We pray for strength. And we pray that Maw-Nita can feel just how incredibly loved she is.
Today, we humbly ask our community to join us.

She spent a lifetime feeding people, taking care of people, and loving people.
Now it’s our turn to surround her with that same love.
