Two years ago today, Milton came through and once again reminded us how quickly “normal” can disappear.

There was water to clean up, damage to repair, things to replace, and a whole lot of figuring-it-out-as-we-went.

But looking back, what stands out most isn’t really the mess.

It’s the people.

The ones who showed up with boots, tools, mops, shop vacs, muscle, snacks, bad jokes and whatever else was needed. The ones who helped put the pieces back together so we could open the doors again.

And then, of course, there were the people waiting for us on the other side. 🥰☕️

That last photo still makes us laugh. Before sunrise, barely reopened, and someone was already outside basically yelling “OPEN THE DOOOOORRRR…. PLEASE 🥺”

Honestly, there’s something pretty special about that.

Storms leave their marks. But so do the people who show up after them. 💙

Two years later, we’re still grateful for every hand that helped, every person who checked in, and every guest who came back through those doors.
