A new bar and restaurant called The Rare is coming to a 150-year-old building in downtown Mason, with plans to open in November.

WCPO swung by The Rare today to take a sneak peak. Watch channel 9 tonight at 11pm for the clip. We’re excited to FINALLY be able to introduce our chef!

We have been told time and time again how much easier and less expensive it would have been to tear down this building and start from scratch. For us that wasn’t an option. We wanted to bring this beautiful old building back to life. We wanted to create a great new space while showcasing the old charm.

It won’t be easy, we won’t be perfect but we think you’ll love it. Trucking along over here at The Rare!

Excuse our mess and thanks in advance for your patience. Trust me we don’t want to do this anymore than you want the traffic pattern to be messed up but we gotta have water!

If you know me this wasn’t even a question….
Yes, we will be a Coca Cola establishment. The question is will I be able to control my Diet Coke intake??
