Meet Melvin’s grandma, Allie Jewel Gregory.

We are proud to have named the restaurant after her.

Many of you know that we have had the business for sale for quite some time now. As of Wednesday this week, we sold Ms. Allie's Cafe to a new owner. It is a bittersweet time for us. Many of you became part of our family, and we are sad to leave, but we are looking forward to the next chapter in our lives.

We hope that your experience at Ms. Allie’s Café was a blessing for you, and as Grandma Allie would always say, “We’re proud you came”.

As you know, there was a fire in the office area on June 30th. Black smoke filled the building, and the water to put out the fire soaked almost everything. As a result, we have had to remove the floors, ceilings, cabinets, and drywall. All of the ductwork for the air conditioning will have to be replaced along with two of the three air conditioners. That smoke is no joke.

I wish we had a timeline and could give you a grand re-opening date, but we can't. Thank you for continuing to ask about Ms. Allie's. We promise to keep you updated once we have a timeline. We miss all of you.

Last night, there was a fire in our office area. We are currently closed until repairs can be made. Thank you to all of the firefighters and first responders that were on scene. They took special care with the property as they were doing their work. We will keep you informed of our progress and anticapated re-opening date. Thank you for all of the personal messages we have received from everyone.
