To Hi-Lite Taylynn was more than just our head cook, she was more than a coworker, more than an employee. At Hi-Lite we really are one big loving family and Taylynn very naturally took to the role of being the big sister of our little family. She had such a radiant soul and a heart of gold. Taylynn was someone you could always count on both at and outside of work. She showed up everyday bright-eyed and bushy-tailed ready to take on whatever the day had in store for us. She always made sure that we were fed-even if we were crazy busy she would still find time to stop us and ask if we needed anything or she would just make an extra basket of fries “on accident” just so she could make sure we weren’t hungry. She never wanted a day to be boring so she would randomly test our ice cream skills by giving us strange shakes or sundaes to make (and that was some of the most we would have making ice cream) or she would have a fun drawing activity for us or a new card game to teach us (i beat her once and she never taught me another card game lol). there was never a bad day if she was working (and she was always working). She loved the restaurant and the job just as much as she loved the people in it.
She did more than just cook food for the town, she cooked everything with love and attention to detail; she took pride in making food that didn’t only taste good but that made people feel good, if she didn’t feel good about it she wouldn’t sell it, even if that meant an order taking a little longer, she took her time to make everything just right. She handled every order with the same amount of care as the last pouring her heart into-and using all her talent for-each and every one. She loved the restaurant and it loved her right back. We truly could not have ran it without her. We all love and miss our girl so much. Rest in peace pookie
