Our goal is to give the members of our community a fun place to kick back and relax, enjoy some friendly competition, or just hang out with family and friends. Our story is best described by sharing what's important to us. We believe strongly that we should “vote with our money” to buy products that are responsible and sustainable. Many of our food products are sourced locally from farms and busin
esses that use organic and/or sustainable practices, and have values similar to ours. We have committed over 80% of our draft beer handles to local or sustainable breweries. We work with the MCSWMA to compost waste, and as a result the vast majority of our food waste and scraps are put back into the earth via compost. We've converted many fixtures and lights to energy-efficient units and use occupancy sensors to make sure only necessary areas of the building are lit. We believe in supporting community organizations, particularly those that need assistance in providing a fun activity to those they serve. Some of our efforts include funding youth scholarships, hosting fundraising events, and providing bowling sets to local schools as part of their physical education curriculum at no charge to them. We also believe that because we serve alcohol, we have a genuine duty to do so responsibly. As a member of the MQT Co. Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition, we are able to work with other organizations to promote responsible alcohol service. In 2013, we were named the MC2 Organization of the Year for our efforts in encouraging safe, healthy, and legal alcohol sales in our community.
