A little update from our family

This past Sunday, our home was affected by flooding, so we’ve been busy taking care of things at home this week.

We’ll be at Asian Fest in NewBo this Saturday with our donuts, Pad Thai, drunken noodles, and boba drinks! 🍩

The cinnamon rolls may have to wait until next week, but we are excited to get back to making them once things settle down.

Today didn’t go exactly as planned, but it turned into a good day. ❤️

I’ve been working on my own Cinnamon Roll recipe, and I think I might have something! 🍓

I’m not turning my Thai restaurant into a bakery 😂 but maybe someday this could grow into an Asian Bakery with flavors inspired by Asia.

For now, I’m just experimenting, learning, and creating. ❤️

I came in around 4:00 AM this morning, ready to fry nearly 250 donuts. 🍩

As soon as I walked in, I knew something was wrong. The power was out, and our proofing cabinet was completely off. When I checked the donut dough, it hadn’t proofed enough to be ready for frying. 😭

I took the dough out and waited another 30 minutes and till an hour, hoping it would rise more. I checked again, but it still wasn’t where it needed to be.

My heart almost stopped. 💔

There will be NO donuts at the Farmers Market today. 😭

We’re incredibly disappointed, especially since this was supposed to be our last market. We’ll keep you updated about when our next donut day will be.

We let these kids come to the back and watch us make donuts today. 🍩❤️

They were so excited! The kids told us it their was first time ever seeing how donuts are made, even though they come to our restaurant often.

They said, “This is the best day ever!” 🥹

Honestly, that made our day! Thank you, kids! ❤️🍩

Today, we had approximately 250 donuts pre-ordered and made an additional 150 donuts for customers who stopped by the shop. We’ve donated the leftover donuts to local homeless shelters. ❤️

We’re truly grateful for all the love and support from everyone. Every bit of encouragement means so much to us! 🙏🍩
