Seasoning Bistro Upscale / Casual / Elevated Dining / Hand Made Fresh Food Ever since we began talking about this venture, our goal was very clear.

Seasoning is a casual dining experience with chef inspired food, owned and operated by two classically trained and experienced chefs. We want to provide quality food at a fair price, using the highest quality local ingredients. As trained chefs, we understand the importance of nutrition. The shortage in non chain food establishments forces people to rely on fast food that is greasy, full of preservatives, and lacks vital nutrients that are needed to stay fit. As a restaurant, our mission is to present health conscious food to the community and southern Illinois. It is important to us to provide proper portion sizes at a budget friendly price. Our goal as a business is to help promote local farmers, businesses, artists and the community as a whole.

This weekend at Seasoning Bistro just got a little more interesting ✨

We have two new additions to this weekend's features, and they bring plenty of flavor to the table. Our Stuffed Portabella starts with mushrooms filled with Italian sausage and a blend of Italian cheeses, topped with mozzarella and flame toasted for a golden finish. And if you're leaning toward something with a little more kick, try our Korean BBQ Tri-Tip Steak. It comes with Spam fried rice, wonton peanut brittle, and Kentucky kimchi, finished with our house Korean BBQ and yum yum sauces, black garlic salt, and cilantro.

For dessert, we're keeping Apple Bundt Cake and Ice Cream Sandwiches on the menu, so consider that your reminder to save a little room for a sweet treat to end the night 😉🧁

The bar has its own weekend lineup, with Pumpkin Ale from Schlafly, Haunted House from Allagash, Yuengling, and The Apparition by War Pigs all on Tap. Scratch is back with Cherry Saison 🎃

Witches Night Out is tonight on the Marion Square Plaza! 🧙

Stop by Seasoning Bistro as things on the Marion square get a little witchier than normal. We'll have activities out on the patio and live music playing throughout the night, and we'll be entering into the Witches Night Out potion contest, because our bartenders aren't passing up the opportunity to put together some of the best witches brew of the night 🔮

The Dirty Details will also be joining us for a night of Beatles favorites, and we're especially happy to have them back at the Bistro. We're lucky to have history with them all the way back to our time in Benton, IL, so these guys aren't just another band passing through, and we're excited to have them for this special event!

We're manifesting good weather, but the crystal ball says there might be some slight showers, so bring your umbrella if you don't want to risk melting! Layer up because it may get chilly tonight too!

Thursday is a pretty good day to let someone else handle dinner.

If your week has been moving a little too fast, take a break and settle in at Seasoning for lunch or dinner. The kitchen will be cooking up all of your favorites, the bar is ready when it’s time for a round of drinks, and you can focus on taking a moment to enjoy some great food instead of spending time figuring out what to make at home.

Meet Blair, one of the familiar faces behind the Seasoning Bistro bar 🍸

She knows how to make your favorite cocktail better than you've ever had it, and has a knack for making them taste just as good as they look. She also happens to be the best dressed person on the team, so you can always count on Blair to bring a little style to your evening.

But what really makes her such a great part of Seasoning is the way that she connects with our guests. Blair has a warm and outgoing personality that can turn a short break at the bar into an afternoon you didn't realize was passing by.

We love the atmosphere she helps create for guests at the Bistro. A good drink is always important, but having someone like Blair on the other side of the bar makes the whole experience that much better 💛

Just like perfection, this is a dish you just can't rush.

Our Pork Shank spends 24 hours in the sous vide before being roasted, giving it time to become incredibly tender while still picking up that beautiful roasted finish.

From there, it lands on the plate with Cuban black beans, cilantro lime rice, and pineapple salsa. The pineapple brings a little brightness to the dish that keeps every bite fresh and juicy.

We've got some great specials coming out of the kitchen at Seasoning Bistro this weekend 🔥

First up, we have our Prime New York Strip Steak with a bourbon glaze, served with caesar roasted potatoes and green beans & carrots, and finished with a bacon gastrique. It's a bold and hearty dish with plenty of flavor, and you won't want to miss out on giving it a try ✨

If you're feeling something a little lighter during a busy afternoon, our Ham & Apple Salad brings together mixed greens, pumpkin praline pecans, cheddar, speck ham, fresh apples, and an apple dijon vinaigrette for a little fall flavor in every bite. And to finish things off, our Apple Bundt Cake and Cherries Jubilee are both making an appearance, so consider saving some room for the last course 🧁
