Thank you to all the well-wishers for your kind comments. The pictures are from yesterday‘s high tides and rain and depict just how high the water was on Ventnor Avenue and how much got into the store.
We’re still in the high tide danger zone as it’s Sunday at 11:30 AM and there’s still one more tide that could affect us. The rain is not helping either, because there’s nowhere for the rain to go, so we’ll be looking forward to tomorrow, just like that old song by Jimmy Buffett “ Come Monday. It’ll be all right. ”

Sunday, September 13th was our last day of the 2026 season.
We of course want to Thank all of our customers for their support this season.
At Two Cents we are humbled to have hosted customers for over a half century and we couldn’t be more proud to able to continue with this tradition.
Through floods and hurricanes and fires and pandemics we have been able to keep our doors open, and for that we Thank you, our loyal customers.
Two Cents is proud to be a part of the the Margate community for the last 53 years and we look forward to the next 53.
Two Cents would also like to take this time to thank our 2026 staff and the 100’s of local young people who cut their teeth in summer employment at the store over the last half decade.

Omgoodness!! Thank you a million times over…. We will be open every evening this week, 5:00 till 9:30!! We are so humbled from the spectacular support this past weekend- you made it the absolute best of the season ! Be safe and hopefully seeing you all week
