From all corners of the globe, people have welcomed Walk With Amal with open arms and hearts – we’re excited to join them in welcoming her to Marfa, Texas on October 24 for an one-of-a-kind event called, The Stars Above Me.

Journeying from Boston to San Diego, will meet 1,000+ artists at 100+ events in 35 towns and cities.

We are proud to partner with the the Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve, Marfa Education Foundation, the Bi-national Cultural Council, and Concierge Marfa to spread ’s message of hope in Marfa, Texas!

Synopsis:
While in Argentina, renowned Mexican muralist David Siqueiros painted the mural "Ejercicio plástico" at the country home of newspaper owner Natalio Botana. Set in the 1930's, this lovely historical reconstruction serves as a testament to the creation of a masterpiece, while depicting the controversial private and public events that shaped its materialization. A complex storyline that includes Argentina's history, romance, drama, and much more. A story of ethics, infidelity, love, and hate around the renowned David Siqueiros, no one is innocent here; everybody shows weakness and values as well, and there is no black and white. There are multiple tones, as in a Siqueiros painting.

Next week you’re invited to help us celebrate the arrival of artist Miguel Valverde’s illuminated "Latido de Luz” piece to its permanent home in Marfa after hanging in Ruidosa Church last year.

At 6:15PM Miguel will present a talk at on the artwork's history and connection to the Ruidosa Church restoration, followed by a viewing of the piece inside , the restaurant located behind the gallery. 

Enjoy free drinks and pizza provided by .
