This is an emotional post to write. Earla’s will be closing its doors on Friday this week (exactly 9 years from opening our doors). We made it through some really hard times thanks to our loyal customers. Now, it’s time for this cook to retire, relax and be able to have time to do the things I need and want to do.
Special thanks to my siblings, Pat, Kim, Cheryl & Donna for their countless hours/days of helping me get started. I couldn’t have done it without you, and I am so grateful for the time you gave me.
Thank you Evelyn for being my rock these last few years. You have always gone above and beyond for me. I seriously couldn’t have done it without you. Our snowmobile people will never forget you, wondering if they were getting the good twin or the evil twin. Your sense of humor and comebacks with them were second to none. So many times we laughed until we cried, I am so grateful to have you as my partner and bestie.
Thank you to the most amazing and beautiful mom,
Earla, for always having my back, cheering me on and teaching me to cook. I love you to the moon and back!
Once again, a very heartfelt thanks to my loyal customers, the surrounding communities, Lake Gogebic and Presque Isle. It was a pleasure to cook for you. It always warmed my heart to know that you enjoyed coming to Earla’s.
It’s time for a few tears now, knowing what a great ride it was.
Please share if you can.
Chris
