It's with great sadness we report the passing of our Sales and Marketing Officer, Robert Bulmer. His outgoing personality, sense of humor and charisma were a gift to everyone and a huge asset to us. He will be greatly missed. As he would have wanted, we will persist and move forward. It had become his dream to make rum in the islands. We will see that dream through. We would wish him to Rest in Peace, but that's not what he would want and he'd be bored with that. Instead, we pray he parties on in the tropical sun surrounded by friends, drinks, bikinis and good music. We know his spirit will continue to entertain all that cross his path moving through the next life.

Pirate’s Key Rum is searching for the right distiller to help open an exciting, new venture in the Florida Keys. The ideal candidate would be an investing partner and have experience in distilling and the craft beverage industry. We will primarily be a craft rum distillery in a tropical, island environment. Sales & Marketing will be focused on a fun and entertaining atmosphere based on popularity of island culture and pirate folklore.
Pirate’s Key Rum will be a world-class, craft-rum distillery. It will be a proud favorite of the locals and a destination for the visiting tourists. We will provide the high-quality spirits, service, and merchandise in an island/pirate environment.

The ideal candidate will have the follow qualifications:
- Be an investing partner with part ownership
- 3-5 years minimum of craft spirits experience
- Positive, energetic attitude willing to work hard and play hard
- Have a clean background
- Be able to run all operations of a distillery and retail shop
- Willingness and preference to move to a tropical island
- Self starter
- Great communication skills
- High level of responsibility
- Be willing to travel when necessary
- Love to experiment, tinker and create
- Be computer literate and social media savvy
- Strong desire to have their dream career of living in the islands and making rum (or to grow up and be a pirate…)

After a long 3-year search, we have finally found the right production site for Pirate’s Key Rum!!! We are working on building plans to fit the property and rounding up investors. The actual address will be made public once papers are signed. Stay tuned for the address and concept plan!
