Bootlegger's has always been everyone's home. It is about family, fun, community and love. It has always been a place of kindness and acceptance. I am proud to call it my home. I have loved this place and the community since I walked in the door years ago. We are family. I love everyone who walks in the door. I have watched so many kids grow up and become beautiful people. I have witnessed the love, generosity and camaraderie of the close nit community of Maple Park. I don't care who makes fun of me for saying this but we have THE BEST STAFF of anywhere around and I love them all. Sadly, I just can't do this anymore. The costs of food, supplies, alcohol, licenses, utilities and more just keep going up. I wear my heart on my sleeve and take everything personally and there has been so much hurt. I just can't anymore. My fight is gone. Who I am is destroyed. My heart is broken. I have spent the last few weeks crying. It is with profound sadness I announce the closing of Bootlegger's. I am working with a few investors and attorneys for the building and it's next chapter. But for now it is closed. I'm so very sorry. Thank you for the support and love. I will miss you all.
