Happy NATIONAL FOOD BANK DAY! Contributions are already rolling in from our community as we raise donations for the Roanoke Island Food Pantry! We’re taking this opportunity to launch Labor Day weekend with a fun community event to restock the shelves for the off-season. Check your kitchen cabinet and drop off anything you don’t use to help out a good cause and earn a dollar off your meal per item you bring!

National Food Bank Day falls on the first Friday of September each year, and the team at Roanoke Island Food Pantry is here for it! On First Friday, September 4, Lost Colony Tavern is accepting donations for the pantry and offering $1 off food & non-alcoholic beverages for EACH item donated! Bring five donations…get $5 off! Non-perishable items such as canned foods, dry packaged food, baby food, diapers and personal items like shampoo, toothpaste and soap can be donated here at the pub from 11AM to 11PM on Friday. Drop by Lost Colony Tavern on National Food Bank Day this First Friday and help us restock the shelves at Roanoke Island Food Pantry!

Hey, Parrotheads! 🦜 This coming Saturday — September 5th, Labor Day Weekend — we’re bringing back our summer vacation staple: The “CHEESEBURGER IN PARADISE” Burger!

Crafted with care to the exact specifications of the beloved Jimmy Buffett classic, the CIP Burger is heaven on Earth with an onion slice, Muenster cheese, lettuce & tomato, Heinz 57, a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat, served with french-fried potatoes and a big kosher pickle. Wonderfully said by Outer Banks Adventures! And yes, this time of year is always tough when our seasonal staff returns to school in early August yet summer runs through early Labor Day Weekend in early September. We appreciate all of our amazing guests all summer long, and we look forward to seeing many of you return this September for Oktoberfest…and in October for Halloween Island — the BEST month on the Outer Banks!!
