Sprinkles are more than what they seem! 🍦

1. They have a real name. Those rainbow sprinkles? Technically they are called jimmies in places like Philadelphia.

2. They’re basically tiny candy rods. Most sprinkles are made from sugar, corn syrup, and food coloring, then extruded into little strands and cut like edible confetti.

3. They were originally chocolate-only. The first jimmies were actually chocolate sprinkles before the rainbow version stole the spotlight.

4. They don’t really melt. Because of their low moisture content, sprinkles hold their shape longer than you’d expect.

5. Color=flavor illusion. Despite the rainbow vibe, most sprinkles taste the same–your brain just thinks they’re different.
