Manteca Officials participated in a series of conference calls with PG&E and officials from the 29 counties affected by the PSPS over the last 24 hours.
We continue to expect that the PSPS will not affect Manteca.

Over the past 24 hours, City of Manteca Officials have been monitoring the potential PG&E power shut off. A series of Facebook post are available on this page for those wishing to catch up.
Update as of 08:50 a.m. October 8, 2019.
The forecast for Manteca remains the same. The Public Safety Power Shutdown (PSPS) is NOT EXPECTED TO IMPACT MANTECA AT THIS TIME.
It is possible that wind damage may damage power line causing a power outage, but the preemptive shutdown of power is not currently planned. As always, be prepared for this to change rapidly. Residents are encouraged to continue to monitor local news, social media and emails/text for emergency alerts.
