What does your Kyrle’s order say about you?!
🍤 Legendary Jumbo Fried Shrimp — You’ve been ordering them since before half our staff was born. You don’t need a menu. You just need to know who else is here and whether you can get your usual table.
🦪 Raw Oysters — You came for “a few oysters.” Three hours later you’re still in the Lounge talking to somebody’s cousin from Mansura about something that happened 17 years ago in the big bar.
🔥 Jalapeño Bacon Chargrilled Oysters — You’re the one who says, “Let’s just get a couple appetizers,” and suddenly the table has spent a Marksville Walmart grocery bill before the entrées even come out.
🥩 Ribeye — You’ve been in Alexandria all day and you are DONE. You made your Sam’s run, Target, probably Lowe’s, and now somebody better bring you a steak and a drink.
🧀 Crabmeat Au Gratin — “Let’s get one for the table” is the biggest lie told in Avoyelles Parish besides “I’m only staying at Kyrle’s for one drink.”
🍔 Hamburger Steak — You’ve ordered the exact same thing since 1997. The server starts writing it down when they see your truck pull in.
🐟 Fried Fish — You ate fried fish at the church fair Friday, somebody’s camp Saturday, and now you’re at Kyrle’s ordering it again. We consider it a food group.
🥩 Fried Filet Bites — “I’m not that hungry.”
…Orders filet bites.
…Eats three of your shrimp.
…Wants a bite of your au gratin.
We all know this person.
🥃 Old Fashioned — You told everybody at home you were “going eat at Kyrle’s.” You conveniently left out the part where you’d still be in the Lounge at 11.
🚙 “I’LL GO PICK UP THE FOOD” — Your husband volunteered to run to Kyrle’s to pick up the order at 6:30. Two hours later you’re wondering where he is. Apparently, he ran into a few buddies in the Lounge and “had to visit.” Somehow picking up supper turned into closing down Kyrle’s. 😂
🍤🥩 Surf & Turf — The crop came in good. Someone sold their cattle. Someone had a good round of golf at the Paragon. Don’t ask questions. Let them enjoy themselves.
🥗 Grilled Chicken Salad — You announced to the whole table that you were “trying to eat better” and then took six bites of the au gratin.
And if you walk into Kyrle’s and don’t know anybody…
Don’t worry. By the time you leave, you’ll know who got married, who bought land, whose kid made the team, and what somebody paid for a cow. 🐄🤠
