We know some of y'all are already asking about pumpkin... but around here, we're still trying to survive the Texas heat!

For now, we'll stick with iced coffee, refreshing drinks, and keeping cool.

But don't worry...

Fall is coming, and when it gets here, MaryLou's will be ready.

The first day of school is here!

To all of our students heading back today, we hope you have an AMAZING first day and an incredible school year! Walk through those doors with confidence, be kind to the person who may need a friend, work hard, ask questions, and never be afraid to be YOU.

To the teachers, administrators, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, coaches, counselors, and everyone else who pours into our kids every day — thank you. We are praying for a safe, successful, and wonderful year for you too.

And to all the moms and dads watching those backpacks walk away this morning…whether it’s their very first day of kindergarten or their last first day of high school, we know that feeling. ❤️

Today is "National Son & Daughter’s Day", and I couldn’t let the day go by without sharing a picture of mine. ❤️

No matter how old they get, they will always be my babies, and I am so incredibly thankful for each one of them.

Today is a great excuse to slow down, grab your son or daughter, and have a lunch date together. Bring them to MaryLou’s, enjoy a sandwich and a cup of coffee, and make a memory around the table.

And we’d love to see your family too! Post a picture with your son or daughter in the comments or tag MaryLou’s in your photo.

Lunch with your favorite kid just sounds like a pretty good way to spend the day. ❤️

To Our MISD Teachers and those around us,

As you prepare to open your classroom doors for another school year, we want you to know something:

You matter.

Long after students forget the worksheet, the test, or the lesson plan, they will remember the teacher who believed in them.

They will remember the teacher who noticed when they were having a hard day. The one who encouraged them when they wanted to give up. The one who challenged them to do more than they thought they could. The one who made them feel seen, valued, and capable.

Somewhere in Mansfield this year, a child will walk into a classroom carrying something no backpack can hold. And you may be the person who changes the direction of that child’s life simply by showing up, caring, and believing in them.

At MaryLou’s, we know our teachers give so much of themselves to our kids and our community. As a new school year begins, we are cheering you on, praying for you, and reminding you that the work you do reaches far beyond the walls of your classroom.

May your classrooms be filled with laughter.

In celebration of our nation's 250th birthday, MaryLou's Coffee & Sandwich Shoppe will be closed this Saturday as we spend time honoring this historic milestone with our families and community.

We are incredibly grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and for each of you who supports our small business throughout the year.

We hope you have a safe, joyful, and patriotic celebration filled with family, friends, and gratitude for this great nation. Take time to reflect on the blessings of liberty and celebrate the freedoms that generations of Americans have fought to preserve.

Every once in a while, God brings someone into your life who is simply a joy to be around. That's our Luke, or as we've always called him, "Little Luke" (although there's not much "little" about him anymore! 😊).

Luke is our youngest employee at MaryLou's, and we couldn't be more thankful for him. He shows up with a smile, works hard, treats everyone with kindness, and has a servant's heart that shines through in everything he does.

What I appreciate most isn't just the work he does, it's the way he pours Jesus into the people around him. Whether he's encouraging a coworker, greeting a customer, or simply living out his faith through his actions, Luke reminds us that you don't have to be old to make a difference. His character speaks louder than words.

And if you ask my grandson Noah, Luke is the coolest cat in town! I think this picture says it all. ❤️

Luke, thank you for being such an incredible young man. We are blessed to have you as part of the MaryLou's family, and we can't wait to see all that God has in store for your future. Keep shining your light. You are making a difference.
