Our Story

There is menu trouble at Kelly’s… …and I, Jim Heenan, have caused it! Here’s my story. Kelly’s serves fun food for money. Duh! You walk up to the window, place your order, pay for it, and within minutes you get what you ordered, a thank you and a great smile. But, my “Menu Trouble” always happens before your order. Here’s the rub… You just want some ice cream. But you have to decide if you want soft or hard ice cream, what flavor or size. (Scratch head here.) Do you want it in a cone or cup? If a cone, what kind? Maybe you want your ice cream to team up with something else to become a shake, sundae, banana split, or a float. Nope…a Flurry or Slush Puppie will do the trick. Nah…you want food. Then do you want sandwiches or a basket? Hot or cold? No, just some munchies. Oooooh! Cole Slaw? No, pizza? And now, what to drink… …and the questions keep on coming…coming…coming… …the trouble at Kelly’s is what fun food to choose. Blame me. I am always tinkering with the menu to give you the funnest fun food for the coolest price. I have traveled throughout Ohio to find signature ice creams that stand alone on its taste or blend with something else to thrill you even more! Plus, this year Mom Heenan has again “loaned” me some of her recipes and will watch like a hawk to ensure I follow every word.And, on a side note, how I prepare pizza should almost be illegal. My continual effort to annually create a primo menu at the lowest prices creates a lingering, frustrated crowd around the order window. Some people, certainly not this family, have camped out for days trying to decide what to order (just kidding, but you get the point). I am always looking for ways to help you eliminate your “Kelly’s Trouble.” My latest effort is a more detailed menu description on the website. Probably won’t help, but it’s worth a try… take a good look at our Fun Food Menu… here you go... . Miniature golf at Kelly’s can get your blood flowing.
