A Farewell from Our Family to Yours
After 42 years a legacy has come to an end here at the Golden Flame as we pass ownership to a new family. We are ready to turn the page and begin a new chapter. One that includes retirement, more time with family, and the chance to slow down.
We first opened our doors May 24,1984 at the young age of 28 (you do the math on what that makes us now), and we never could have imagined all the memories, friendships, and laughter that would fill this restaurant over the decades.
We have welcomed generations through our doors, celebrated birthdays and milestones, shared countless cups of coffee and meals, and gotten to know so many of you not just as staff or customers, but as friends. We will miss your familiar faces, the busy mornings, and the conversations across the counter.
To our dedicated staff, both past and present. Thank you for working along side us and being part of the Golden Flame family. Your hard work, and commitment helped make this business what it is. We could not have done it without you.
Thank you, Manitowoc, for allowing us the privilege of serving you for 42 years. Thank you for your loyalty, your friendship, and for making our little restaurant feel like home.
Please continue to support our staff and the new owners as they transition into this next chapter. We hope you will welcome them warmly, and show them the same kindness you have shown us throughout the years.
