‼️‼️‼️Unfortunately my weekend getaway to visit my brother out east resulted in a 7hr delay at the Charlotte Airport today. Bakery on State will be CLOSED tomorrow as I hope to make it back at some point this lifetime. Sorry for any inconvenience! We will return to our regular business hours Wednesday for the rest of this week. Thank you for understanding and please share this post ‼️‼️‼️

It was brought to my attention that Bakery on State was selected as “Best Bakery” in the Community Choice Awards for 2026! THANK YOU to all of you who voted and to those who frequent the shop. I can tell you that every employee of Bakery on State plays their own role in the quality and service you receive and have come to expect from what I like to call, “a well oiled machine.” The bakery life is not for everyone and I have an amazing team! Thank you to my team for caring as much as I do! This is our first, 1st place award and I hope many more follow!

I write this with sincere gratitude and will try and keep this short but it needs to be addressed.

Being busy as a small business is a blessing and we are sincerely thankful for everyone who enjoys Bakery on State. With that said, we do an incredible volume of buns and bakery in general. We have over 20 circulating wholesale accounts, some larger than others. We are not Festival Foods or Walmart. Products are made fresh daily. We don’t have a warehouse/back room with large overstock.

If you need a larger quantity of buns or bakery, you NEED to CALL YOUR ORDERS IN, 48 hours in advance. Even if it’s a small order, do yourself a favor and order ahead. It doesn’t hurt! Understand that your event isn’t the only event going on and it doesn’t take long before 3/4 dozen buns for 4/5 customers turns to 20 dozen. Again, we are truly thankful you’re choosing us to accommodate your gatherings and events. We ABSOLUTELY WANT TO!
