This has been one heck of a ride, and we have truly enjoyed every minute of it!

Out of hundreds and hundreds of food trucks across Oklahoma, our little black and yellow trailer from Southwest Oklahoma earned its place in the TOP 5 IN THE ENTIRE STATE! 🏆

Our little trailer did exactly what it was supposed to do…

SHOW UP.
SHOW OUT.
AND STAND AMONG THE BEST OF THE BEST. 💪🔥

No matter what happens from here, THAT is something we will forever be proud of.

And this journey became about so much more than The Last Straw. It became about showing people that our little corner of Southwest Oklahoma may be small, but WE ARE MIGHTY! We showed what can happen when a community gets behind one of its own.

Now, the voting is done. The work is done. And all that’s left to do is patiently… and maybe a little anxiously 😂… wait for the results to be announced SEPTEMBER 4TH! 👀🏆

Tomorrow, voting officially comes to an end for the 2026 Okie Food Truck Competition. That means we have ONE DAY LEFT to give this everything we’ve got! 🏆🗳️

But before that final vote is cast, we need to say something from the heart:

No matter how this ends, The Last Straw has already accomplished something HUGE.

Our little black & yellow lemonade trailer from Southwest Oklahoma earned a spot in the TOP 5 IN THE ENTIRE STATE! 🥹🖤💛

We aren’t a big chain with a massive team behind us. We’re a small-town family who started with a little trailer, a lot of determination, and one BIG dream.

There have been long nights, scorching Oklahoma days, countless miles on the road, and more lemons squeezed than we could ever count. 😂🍋 There have been days when we were exhausted and days when things didn’t go according to plan.

But we kept going.

WE KEPT SHOWING UP.

And through every single step of this journey, YOU SHOWED UP TOO.

You voted. You shared. You tagged your friends. You recommended us. You stood in line at our window. Communities welcomed our trailer with open arms, and so many of you continued telling people, “Go vote for The Last Straw!”

Every bit of that support helped carry this little Southwest Oklahoma business all the way into the TOP FIVE. 🏆

💛🖤 THE BEHIND THE SCENES OF THE LAST STRAW… 🖤💛

What you see at face value is a little black and yellow trailer rolling into town, fresh-squeezed lemonade, smiling faces, and the Squeeze Squad ready to serve.

What you don’t see is everything it takes to get us there.

It’s HOT days.
It’s LONG nights.
It’s hours and hours of prepping, planning, loading, cleaning, shopping, fixing, and figuring things out as we go.

And the truth is… it takes my whole entire family to make this little black and yellow trailer roll down the road. 💛

It’s my fiancé making calls from work and putting help into motion when something goes wrong.

It’s my son being quick on the phone and getting the Kiowa County Sheriff’s Office out there to stand in the heat and help direct traffic so everyone could stay safe.

It’s my other son dropping EVERYTHING to rush me a tire when I needed one.

And sometimes… it’s complete strangers who become part of our story. 🥹

Yesterday, we had a trailer tire blow out just outside of Lone Wolf — right there on the highway.

The kind men at the Lone Wolf Co-op dropped what they were doing, came out to us, and changed our tire literally on the side of the highway.

Then there was a generous farmer who brought us one of his own personal tires to put on our trailer just so we could get back to the station in Lone Wolf.

THAT is something I will never forget. ❤️

People see The Last Straw pull into an event and probably never think twice about what happened before we got there.

Some days everything goes perfectly.

Other days, you’re standing on the side of the highway with a blown tire wondering how in the world you’re going to make it where you’re supposed to be.

But somehow, someone always steps up.

Family. Friends. Law enforcement. Local businesses. Farmers. Complete strangers.

Sometimes it literally takes EVERYONE to keep this dream rolling.

So when you see that little black and yellow trailer coming down the road, just know there’s a whole lot of love, sweat, chaos, sacrifice, helping hands, and one stubborn family behind it that refuses to give up. 😂💛🖤

Today was a reminder that there are still some REALLY GOOD PEOPLE in this world.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to every single person who helped us today. You didn’t just help change a tire…

You helped keep The Last Straw rolling. 🍋💛

And THAT is the part of small business you don’t always see. 🖤
