I still have this awesome condo on the market. It has 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a separate laundry room, a balcony, ceiling fans in both bedrooms and in the living room and cathedral ceilings. On Saturday morning, just before going to my daughter's house for my grandson's second birthday, I prayed for a sign from God. It has definitely been awhile since I have baked anything or been online. It feels good to be back in the kitchen and baking again. I just finished baking a cake for my sister in law's birthday. I think I've just died and gone to heaven. The icing is just so doggone good. I found the recipe for the cake and the icing in the Volume 11 November 4 edition of the Food Network Magazine. How do you like this lemon cupcake? It was just made from a box of lemon cake mix and icing from scratch with lemon juice instead of vanilla extract, or if that is too much lemon for you. You can just make the icing without the lemon juice and use the vanilla extract. It sure seems like our lives have become nothing but big old lemons these days. [ 353 more words ]

I baked my awesome Oatmeal Moon Pies and entered them at the Prince William County Fair last weekend and I won first place for them. It is so exciting to see that people enjoy my baking. The air conditioner is back on and working pretty good. It looks like I can actually turn on the oven without melting. I am finally back in the kitchen again. Somebody is craving a stack of these delicious moon pies. Now if I can just wave my magic wand and make the A/C work like new again, I'll be back in business and baking again!
