This June, in honor of BONDS WITH BEERTENDERS and Father's Day - meet our Head Brewer, the father of our beer: Kyle! With decades of experience, Kyle is always excited to share his newest recipe with our favorite drinkers.

This latest release is no exception. Xylem & Phloem is a French-style pilsner, aged on oak barrels. This light lager has a full crisp body that makes it the perfect warm weather beer.

We're excited for another great month of events, including a dine and donate on June 8th as well as Father's Day Pints on June 21st. More details to come. Weekend specials? Yes please!

New in the kitchen this week: Salmon with hollandaise, grilled asparagus and blistered cherry tomatoes, served alongside a dressed salad. Craving tacos? Try our Carnitas Tacos, with house-made spicy crema, pickled onions, pico and slaw. And if you're missing the sun, the sand, and the Golden West Coast, try our limited-edition Cali Burrito with seasoned steak, homemade guacamole, and fries....inside the burrito!

Stop in the taproom and get these before they're gone! Kitchen is open until 9:30 tonight. Right back at it again tomorrow at noon, and reminder that we will be closed Monday in observance of Memorial Day.

Gearing up for a great long weekend with another great beer! Xylem & Phleom is a French pilsner, aged on oak barrels. This lager looks light but packs a full crisp body with a sweet hint of oaky-smokey goodness. A perfect beer to kick off the real start of summer!

We are CLOSED on Memorial Day but open Fri-Sun this weekend to make sure everyone gets a taste of this complex and refreshing brew. Bring the family, enjoy the sun, and we'll see you in the taproom soon.

It's Alive! (And Dead)

Back on tap this week: Both Alive and Dead, our Vienna Lager. Poured off the Lukr side pull, this seasonal brew is toasty with a hint of caramel. It's reverse decocted with three different kinds of malt to give it a light body with full flavor and low ABV. Come rediscover a classic!

For a special May BONDS WITH BEERTENDERS, we get to introduce two very familiar faces - meet Brian and Mikey! Active Ingredient, at its heart, is a family business. Brian is the owner, and his brother Mikey is our general manager. These guys are our first line of defense and have truly worked every possible job here, most importantly trying all the beers and figuring out what that weird noise in the dishwasher is.

Thanks to these guys and our amazing customers and supporters, Active Ingredient is going FIVE YEARS STRONG as of this month. We're planning an exciting month of events, community fundraising, and a culminating 5 Year Anniversary party on 5/30. More details to come.

Yesterday, our staff had the great pleasure of making dinner for the folks at the Ronald McDonald House in Albany. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community and provide delicious food to families with children needing access to healthcare.
