Wow, National Ice Cream Day was awesome! We saw some pretty wacky “anything but a cup” submissions! 😂
I am printing all photos from comments and messenger today and staff will vote on the photos over the next couple of days, I’ll announce 3 “anything but a cup” winners by the end of the week! Thank you so much for participating, it’s one of my favorite days of the season 🏆

In the meantime……let’s ramp this food drive up!

Obviously we aren’t open during Christmas, but I’d like to add something extra to our Christmas in July celebration by running a food drive for the Franklin County Food Pantry. The Franklin County food pantry serves over 600 families a month. That’s a big demand. So, let’s help them out. From 7/15-7/26, if you stop by Bokies during our business hours and bring us some non-perishable food and/or toiletries to donate, we will trade you for some free ice cream! It could be 1 thing or it could be a bag of things, we’ll take it! I will deliver them to the food pantry on 7/27. You’re doing something kind and eating free ice cream…..really it’s a win/win! Please share the heck out of this post. Let’s see how much we can gather! Thank you 🍱 ❤️

I don’t know about you, but I feel like that’s cause for celebration! We are bringing back a super popular event that we debuted last year…..ANYTHING BUT A CUP DAY!

Here’s the details:

🗓️ Today Sunday, July 19th (11 am to 9 pm)

🥣 Briny anything but a cup to Bokies and we will scoop your favorite hard ice cream in to it!

💲 Cost is $1 per scoop (plus tax), we can scoop you 1 or 7, whatever floats your boat (or statue or toolbox or diaper)

🏆 Let’s make this a contest! The wilder and wackier the “container,” the better! To enter the contest on Sunday, send me a picture through messenger or enter it in the comments of this post of your “anything but a cup” with ice cream in it. I will print all the photos/entries and put them up for a staff vote. I’m going to up the odds this year:
1st place: $100 Bokies gift card
2nd place: $50 Bokies gift card
3rd place: $25 gift card

RULES: Container/“anything but a cup” must be clean and dry. We reserve the right to refuse anything that is not clean.

Limit of 10 scoops per customer. $1 scoops pertain only to this event and you must provide the creative container for the $1 scoops.
