As many of you know, we have closed our doors and are moving on. Some of you will remember last winter when we had to run turbo heaters because the furnace did not work. We can not operate like that for another winter. The landlord refuses to fix it. She told us that it was on US to fix the furnace in HER building. She has refused to sell to us but wants us to repair everything. We did fix the septic issue that was causing grey water to back up in to the basement and turned in the receipt in lieu of part of the rent. She responded by hiring a lawyer to evict us because she did not approve of us fixing the septic issue. We have cashier's check receipts that we paid full rent every month that we have been here with broken, non working equipment that she refused to fix. She took our $9000 deposit for a contract that stated she had a liquor license that we could use which most of you know was a lie! We were not allowed to advertise that fact that we were a bar and faced constant harassment when we tried. She required us to carry full replacement insurance on a building that we did not own and would not allow us access to the apartment in the building that we were paying $3k per month for. Just too many issues for us to keep dealing with this woman. She came here from Texas and bought up a bunch of properties that she rented out just to steal peoples money!! She is currently in Monroe County jail waiting extradition to Texas on felony theft charges and is being detained for theft by unlawful taking charges in Monroe county. Just wanted to explain to our customers why we made the decision to leave!
