We are extremely saddened by the sudden loss of our beloved bartender, father, husband, brother, son, and friend Gavin. Gavin passed away unexpectedly on October 3rd. We are all still in shock and filled with a sense of deep sadness, many of us struggling to find the words... Gavin was a man full of light, kindness and love. He was always willing to help others and was such a creative and hard-working man. He loved his family more than anything and was a good friend to so many, always willing to help out when needed. His smile and presence will be missed by everyone who worked and patronized The Wildwood Tavern. He will never be forgotten. Please keep Gavin’s family in your thoughts and prayers. There is a go fund me page set up to help his wife and two boys.
As a bartender, we know your drink order before your name, then we get to know your name—Gavin was intentional. He was able to connect with those around him immediately. For those that may not know, Gavin’s drink order would be a Hamm’s on tap, bulleit bourbon on the rocks, or a non-spicy bloody. We miss you already so much, Gavin.
