We at The a Blooming Seed Coffee House are genuinely empathetic to the sad news that has come down with a bad case of laryngitis and will be unable to perform at The Common Ground Coffeehouse in Dobbs Ferry this Saturday Feb 27. We join in wishing her a speedy recovery. TRUTH: That must have been one "far out" and 'right on" music festival!
FALSE: AMY SOUCY AND STEPHEN MURPHY opened that weekend for Jethro Tull.
TRUTH: AMY SOUCY and STEPHEN MURPHY will be headlining this coming weekend at THE BLOOMING SEED LEAP YEAR FESTIVAL being held this Saturday evening, February 27 at 7:30 P.M.
If you missed them at the Isle of Wight Festival or when they played at the Kennedy Center or when they sold out Madison Square Garden for three weeks back in 2002 or when Amy recorded her HBO special atop Mount Rushmore or when Stephen was knighted by Queen Elizabeth, just before Sir Elton, well then I seriously suggest you show up this saturday at The Blooming Seed Coffee House 760 Route Six Mahopac, New York (Nestled within Temple Beth Shalom...entrance off main parking lot in back).

One reason we are called The Blooming Seed, is that no matter what the weather conditions are outside, inside it is just perfect conditions for good friends and great music to germinate into something really special. That is exactly what happened on Saturday night January 30. SCOTT and BETH BIERKO made a visceral connection with the jam packed house warming the room with a combination of their original compositions and gems that we all yearn to hear. Accompanying Scott and Beth on guitar was the incomparable ALAN BARUCH, who was amazing. PRISM, Nancy Hershatter, Dan Brodax and Joanne Davidson, opened the evening with a welcomed range of songs from the 60's and 70's that primed the audience beautifully.
Our thanks and appreciation to all who shared in this wonderful event.

The Blooming Seed is Alive...and Well!
It is holiday time and though there is no chance of snow, with temperatures in the 50's, the excitement is in the air.
We are delighted to wet your appetite for great grass roots music in a comfortable and inviting space by telling you of our first show for 2016.
Please warmly welcome SCOTT AND BETH BIERKO, a duo performing both original works as well as covering and interpreting the classics from Woodstock to today.
Opening for Scott and Beth will be PRISM, a trio consisting of Nancy Hershatter, Dan Brodax and Joanne Davidson. Their close three part harmony performing songs from the 60's and 70's is breathtaking.

Yesterday evening, a most appreciative and satisfied audience was treated to a wonderful mix of original compositions and covers by Sharon Goldman. The night was filled with songs about love and travel and time and space. It was a delightful show. The performance was preceded by a sumptuous BBQ feast including grilled portabella mushroom caps, zucchini and red peppers along with BBQ chicken, lemonade and chocolate cake! Hope to see everyone in September...Enjoy your summer!
