Three years of Lefty’s on the Square. 🥂

Funny how the number three keeps finding its way into our story.

It started with three threes and a winning hand. Then came the legendary 333 Club. And on October 14, 2023, Lefty’s opened its doors to a new chapter in Magnolia.

Of course, bringing that vision to life took more than a little luck. Months of research, visits to speakeasies, and a year and a half of hands-on work went into creating the place Christy and Burt had imagined.

Three years later, the best part of the story is still the people who walk through our doors.
To our guests who have made Lefty’s part of their birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations, and even ordinary evenings, thank you. And to our team, whose care and dedication bring this place to life every day, we couldn't do it without you.

A special thank you to Christy and Burt for believing in what Lefty’s could become. And today, we're celebrating Christy’s birthday, too. Three years ago, she marked her own special day by opening the doors to a dream she and Burt had worked so hard to bring to life. 💕

If you’ve seen Ryder behind the bar, serving tables, or (you don't see him - he's probably in the kitchen helping!), you’re not imagining things. He does a little bit of everything at Lefty’s. And when he’s not working, there’s a good chance he’s at the gym or out fishing. 🎣

On what he’s learned at Lefty’s:
“Given the right work environment, work can be fun while still being productive.”
Ryder appreciates working alongside people who have plenty of knowledge to share, and he’s learned that enjoying your work and taking it seriously can go hand in hand.

What he enjoys most:
The work environment. From his coworkers to the procedures that keep things running, Ryder appreciates how the team works together.

Something guests may not know:
He spends a surprising amount of time practicing w**e pronunciations. 🍷 As Ryder puts it, the better the w**e, the harder the name seems to be!

His favorite Lefty’s order:
The Red Sweep. 🍸 The grapefruit flavor makes it his favorite cocktail, no contest.

Beyond Lefty’s:
Fishing, working out, and listening to music. 🎶🏋️

A fun fact:
He can bench press 275 pounds. 💪

Life goals and dreams:
Ryder plans to finish his finance degree at Southern Arkansas University, build a career in finance, buy a house, and start a family.

In his words, “Good ole American dream!”

What he’s most proud of:
His work ethic. If he’s not fishing or working out, you’ll probably find him at work.

We're glad to have Ryder on the team, whether he's behind the bar, taking care of guests, or lending a hand in the kitchen.

Celebrate Three Years with Lefty's

Three years ago, we opened our doors with a vision of creating memorable evenings around great food, exceptional hospitality, and stories worth sharing.

Join us as we celebrate our 3rd Anniversary with a special dinner featuring Dr. Jay Franks and Tara Hill Franks of Beech Creek Farms, representing five generations of regenerative cattle farming in South Arkansas.

The evening's menu will feature our signature 1921 Burger, crafted with Beech Creek Farms ground beef, giving guests the opportunity to experience a true farm-to-table dinner while learning the story behind the ranch.

Our full anniversary menu will be released later this week.
