In Maggie Valley , North Carolina you’ll find this little hole in the wall known as Joy’s Snack Shack located right in the mist of the beautiful vintage Gates Flea Market. Sitting back off the roadside not looking like all that much from the outside. But for locals who are “in the know” or those lucky enough to take a chance and stop in, you’ll find some of the most delicious food in the area! This Loafers Glory landmark has been feeding hungry travelers for years serving classic roadside fare in a warm welcoming outdoor covered dining area with tables and chairs. Order a bacon cheeseburger, hamburger, a stacked BLT, or popular deep fried chili dog, all served in generous portions without a high price tag.

Robert and Joy are always there greeting customers and making conversation, while still giving warm service making sure that first-time visitors feel like regulars. Relax and enjoy the quiet mountain setting. It’s a worthwhile food stop while exploring the scenic roads and communities around Maggie Valley.

Joy's Snack Shack is delighted to announce its extended hours on Saturday, July 4th, from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm. We warmly invite you to join us in celebrating the 4th of July with a fun-filled day of activities. Please bring a lounge chair or tailgate and indulge in your favorite food items while watching the fireworks with us. We have prepared a variety of special including our signature hot dogs and loaded chicken bacon ranch fries, as well as many other mouthwatering options.

Freshly popped popcorn will be available throughout the day. 😋
