Hello to everyone once again.
The restaurant, now called the “Hilltop Cafe” has been opened since March 1st! There have been many people asking to see the Menu so I am posting it here....
In the future I also plan to post the rebuild pictures and the car show pictures I have. There are so many people I miss 💕.

Today the Hilltop Cafe is opening and serving the public once again. I’m wishing the best to the New Owners and the remaining community!!
I’m happy part of the name still remains and that they have been working very hard to get up and running for everyone....

Hello everyone,
Today I’d like to address the information that is circulating regarding the restaurant..
It is true I am selling to the owner of Cozy diner in Paradise. The building owner and I have both decided to sell and he was very excited to take over. He should be able to open in the next month. The Cozy has issues that will take at least a year to resolve.
The name will change but we don’t know what it will be as yet. He wants to combine the menu to get the best of both. He wants to meet and try to employ those who worked with me serving you. We are working out many details.
On a personal note ... the experience of running Jaki’s Hilltop Cafe has been a absolutely wonderful experience, my employees and customers will always be in my heart. It was an answer to prayer and such a learning experience. I became a part of the community in a way I could have never imagined. I’ve made many new friends, and as we all know, have lost many now due to the devastation in our area.
A part of my heart broke with our first fire. The rebuilding was very challenging. The restarting was more challenging than I had thought. And the wildfires were devastating.. the building still standing was a blessing and beacon of hope for our community,
But for me the loss of my home & community and the impact of shutting down the cafe once again has taken such a toll on my heart. The joy has not returned and thus the decision not to stay.
I had the time of my life doing all that I did with you guys!! I loved it! Got to challenge myself, work with family, and friends and serve food like having everyone over to my home every day! In response to my joy and service all of you responded in kind and we had the best of years in the ‘Era of Jaki’s Hilltop Cafe’
I thank everyone and I’ll help where I can and I know that the community has someone competent and caring serving you now.
My heart goes out to everyone as we continue to recover, move on, rebuild , and find our way. May God bless you all. 💖

Hello to our scattered and brave community members who have had to walk through this tragedy. As most everyone now knows on November 8th our community was evacuated due to the wildfires that swept through Paradise, Magalia, and the surrounding areas. Many of us have lost our homes and businesses with these fires devastating our community in a way that California has not seen before.

The fire came within feet of the restaurant consuming other commercial buildings up and down the Skyway and on both sides of our Café, along with structures we used for storage and supplies in our parking lot. Due to the evacuation orders still standing we have not been able to return to assess the damages to the inside & outside of the building or surrounding area.

We do know the inside will need major cleaning due to the food spoilage and we don't have full knowledge yet if any repairs are needed. We are working on that each day as we are able.

We know with the extreme change in population and workforce that have occurred we will need to restructure the internal workings of our café.

There is no way to estimate the time frame we are looking at, but we will keep our community advised as well as we can about what goes on.

We are grateful that the Cafe is still standing!

And we are grateful we will be able to re-open and serve those remaining in our community .....

I was looking forward to honoring our veterans today for their service..
It is 11am on the 11th day, 11th month, 100 years since the First World War was haulted.
But as most know our community has been devastated by wildfires and most are scattered in an attempt to gather themselves and breathe and begin to see what the future holds.
My family and I send our love and prayers.
The cafe shows still standing in videos but the extent of smoke damage or food spoilage due to loss of power is unknown.

We at Jaki’s have greatly appreciated your support as we have begun our soft opening days. We have a lack of staff on the line in our kitchen and so we have adjusted our hours until we can overcome this difficulty. Thank you all for your amazing support as we continue on!
