As one of the owners of Ogden’s North Street Diner I feel obligated to inform all of the lovely people who have left us good reviews including comments about the home made jam…..the jam is not home made and never has been. We do prioritize quality, locally sourced ingredients and the bulk of our food does come from local vendors, including Madison Sourdough, Jones Dairy Farm bacon and sausage, Uphoff Berkshire pit ham, Hooks 4 year cheddar, and many more fine local products. The jam, however, is Food Club brand, literally the cheapest Woodman’s carries. We have never tried to present it as our own, we just serve it in ramekins. As jam is largely just fruit and sugar, and a give away item we do have to pay for, we decided (from the very first days we were open) to save money on a condiment that has served us well. It just tastes good because you’re happy to be at Ogden’s, and that’s all right in my book. Thanks for reading and thanks for your patronage.
