From humble beginnings to a hamburger haven we at Dotty's take pride in creating the best burger--Dotty Dumplings Dowry was founded in 1968 in Des Moines, Iowa as a gift shop. in Madison, Wisconsin where he began his true calling as the hamburger king! where burger lovers congregated after the Badger football games. As our popularity grew, so did our need for more space. In 1990, Dotty's moved to

Fairchild St. In 2001 we were booted from the eclectic Fairchild location to make room for the Overture Center. In 2003 we opened our doors on Frances St. where we remain a family-owned and operated business with Stanley's daughter, Rachael, the Hamburger Princess, carrying on our 48-year tradition.
