Monday.... my (Brandie) favorite day of the week! Mondays are usually my day off from baking at Good & Plenty 2, which means it's time to reset my house and hopefully my brain for the week ahead!

Laundry, dishes, grocery shopping, hyper-organizing my refrigerator, and cleaning EVERYTHING with bleach and or pinesol... and yes I know that isn't the greatest combination but the smell is my obsession and EVERYONE who knows me is awarešŸ¤Ŗ

Anyone who knows me probably knows my brain operates a little differently. I was diagnosed with ADHD and GAD years ago (which is where our love for supporting mental health organizations comes from). Therapy worked wonders, but eventually I got too busy for therapy because, well... my ADHD convinced me I needed another 473 projects and responsibilities.

I crave organization, straight lines, routines, and everything having its place. Yet somehow I lose everything, forget everything, and take on WAY more than any sane person should. And here's the funny part... my house and the restaurant are both an explosion of colors, patterns, and decorations! I love looking at those beautiful beige and gray Pinterest homes, but actually being in one makes me antsy! My colorful chaos brings me peace.

I think that's something worth sharing. Peace looks different for everyone.

Whether it's a spotless kitchen, a colorful home, a quiet morning, or sitting down at Good & Plenty 2 with a hot cup of coffee and a home cooked breakfast, we all have our own version of peace.

Good & Plenty 2 IS open today! Sharif is working in the kitchen cooking up your breakfast favorites.... which is how I get to clean my housešŸ¤­

I will be starting on more pastries tomorrow to bring you a VERY FULL case this coming weekend! I will be making more fall and Halloween themed ones like I had yesterday.

For a lunch special tomorrow we have something new! Sourdough pizza rolls to dip in a housemade creamy tomato basil soup 8.99! I just finished up in the kitchenšŸ˜“ I'm going to enjoy tomorrow's lunch special now for dinnerā¤ļø I did not get any cinnamon rolls made because Sharif had me helping in the kitchen today in between pastries... but I will be sure to have some for next week!

Meet Cledoughpatra, Queen of the Dough! šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡¬
My sourdough starter, Cledoughpatra, has quite the royal history! She was shipped all the way to me from Egypt (My father-in-laws home land). šŸ‡ŖšŸ‡¬

I know technically she is no longer considered an Egyptian sourdough starter because she has been fed and maintained right here in Madison, Maine for 2 years. But in my heart, she will ALWAYS be Cledoughpatra, my Egyptian queen of sourdough! She's a little high maintenance, requires regular feedings, and demands my attention... but she certainly earns her keep. And this weekend, our Egyptian queen is getting to work!

Mondays are usually my day to reset the house for the week...clean everything up, get organized, and pretend I have my life together. But somehow, after a VERY busy day yesterday, I actually got it all done last night. So today, Iā€™m doing something a little different.

First, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who was patient with us yesterday. Sierah and I got hit HARD with several large parties all at once, on top of a completely full dining room. Our kitchen crew absolutely crushed it. They handled every ticket flawlessly and with so much speed. Our daughter and her boyfriend even jumped in; one hosting and one helping in the kitchen. Days like yesterday remind us just how blessed we are to have such a strong team and a family that jumps in wherever theyā€™re needed.

So today Iā€™m taking the day to put together a new puzzle for you all to enjoy. I LOVE that you guys actually notice my seasonal puzzles. ā¤ļø The Halloween one is up now, but come November, youā€™ll have a brand-new one to look at!

My coffee is hot, and yes, I absolutely took a bag of our delicious Good & Plenty 2 coffee home to brew. My house is reset, my brain is rested, and Iā€™m ready to spend the day turning 1,000 tiny pieces into another little piece of art for you all.

Now letā€™s see how long it takes before Iā€™m questioning every life decision Iā€™ve ever made because I canā€™t find one stupid piece.... because it happens with EVERY. SINGLE. PUZZLE.šŸ˜‚
