I'll be honest... Valentine's day isn't a holiday Josh and I celebrate. Mostly, because we feel that we shouldn't need a holiday to shower eachother with affection and we don't like the pressure of buying gifts for each other. 💝

But I LOVE holiday themed baked goods. Especially, ! It's always fun, colorful, and whimsical. However, I'm terrible about thinking ahead to make things to specifically decorate before holidays 😬 For once though, I did! And it's mostly because one of my couples asked for their anniversary cake.

Oh, you didn't know I provide couples an anniversary cake? When your wedding order is $250+, you receive a free 6" cake for your one year anniversary. It's tradition to save the top tier of your cake for your anniversary but you're not supposed to freeze baked goods for longer than 3 months, no matter how fresh it is so I let my couples have their cake and eat it too. 😉

A year ago, I had this idea to introduce a mascot for Delicious UnVailed to go along with the logo. I wanted it to be a female elephant that could wear different accessories and shirts with sayings on them. I chose an elephant because elephants have long memories, they are emotional and THEY'RE THE LEADER OF THE PACK!

I never felt like it was a good time to introduce, Ellie, the elephant but after the over turn of Roe vs Wade, I knew it was time. And I knew that best way to have her make her debut is to share her Rosie the riveter outfit.

So, please "meet" Ellie. She may pop up from time to time.

Today, she's (and I) are here to tell you that we need to continue to fight for women's rights, equality and this is bigger than just a medical procedure. And I live 30 minutes from the IL boarder so if you need help getting there, I'm here without question.

Why yes, yes I do.

Claire was looking for a variety of desserts for her family's get together today so we did keylime pies in a jar (pictured), banana caramel cream pies in a jar, brownies (duh), Mini cheesecakes and chocolate almond cupcakes 🤤

Have you been wondering how I decide on what flavors I choose for the monthly wedding dessert boxes?

Well, there's no real secret. I always try to make sure there is at least one chocolate option, one "classic" flavor (funfetti, vanilla, etc), one seasonal flavor and one that you may not try on your own but I think you'll like!

One of my favorite things about being a baker is creating fun flavor combinations.

I don't normally look like this when I am baking or putting the final touches on your desserts. In fact, I normally look like a gremlin that's been fed after midnight.

But Olivia of was sweet enough to capture a few pictures of me setting up desserts at last week's WIN event and for once I looked presentable 😂.

Looking pretty isn't a priority when I am in the kitchen. Your desserts looking beautiful is my focus! There is flour in my hair, cocoa powder on my shirt, frosting on the backs of my arms and fruit filling on my cheeks because that's a) I have no idea how to not make a mess when I'm doing literally anything and b) I am so busy I likely haven't looked in the mirror since I showed up at the kitchen and started working so I don't know how much of a hot mess I am until I am finished 😬

It's Craft Beer Week!

I loooooooooove baking with booze and other unique ingredients. These little beauties pictured are cupcakes made with Diet Starts Tomorrow and Irish cream frosting 🤤

My other favorite Karben4 creation is my Fantasy Factory IPA cake with raspberry frosting. Guys... if you like beer, you need to try this one!

We're super excited to be participating in this month's Cambridge Community Library's Story Walk. When we heard that the story is "If You Give a Mouse a Brownie" we had to celebrate with the introduction of a new local baking partner of ours... Delicious UnVailed. Natalie's brownies are baked in a commercial kitchen in Stoughton and are soooo good! As soon as we sampled one we knew we had to bring her brownies to the Market.

And, here's a chance to try one of her brownies for FREE! Simply take a picture of yourself by the page of the book posted outside Cambridge Market and post it to Facebook or Instagram remembering to tag Cambridge Market.
