Continuing our Senior Spotlight...let's congratulate Anthony on his amazing years at Dakota! Anthony is one of the most motivated, dependable, and energetic teenagers I have ever met. He has been an incredible part of our community and on our team for the past 4 years, and his high school accomplishments are truly impressive!
He was an active member of Student Government, the District Design Advisory Team, and the National German Honor Society, while also serving as a DECA Chapter Officer. Through DECA, he qualified for States in Financial Consulting and earned International Placement in Adobe Personal Branding.
He participated in Student Leadership for three years and founded Dakota Fights Cancer, an organization that raised an incredible $25,000 for the cause and even earned recognition on the news. He also served as a Dakota Boosters Student and Marketing Trustee.
A four-year football player, he earned All-Academic Athlete Honors while balancing academics, athletics, leadership, and working as many shifts as I would let him. He also earned 1st place in the 2025 Macomb Innovates Student Team Pitch Competition.
And you might recognize him for something completely different…You may have even seen him in the media during the senior pranks, including making pancakes in the principal's driveway and officiating a wedding for a couple of classmates in the cafeteria!
Next up, he's headed to Central Michigan University to pursue a degree in Business Leadership. He earned CMU's Maroon and Gold Scholarship, along with additional community and school scholarships - the Henrih Alikaj, Dakota Boosters, DECA, Diana Owens, and Jack Gargalino Scholarships.
We are so proud of everything he has accomplished, and although we joke about him being my "second son", I really am going to truly miss him. Good thing he trained some replacements for this fall season. Please stop in tonight to congratulate him and wish him the very best as he begins this exciting next chapter at CMU!
