❤️ A Little Update from The Bakery Barn for Wednesday 10/7 - Friday 10/9 - Adjusted Store Hours with ALL Special Orders Filled as Planned

I want to let everyone know that The Bakery Barn will be closed for regular walk-in store hours for the remainder of this week.

This is necessary as I continue to manage my physical abilities and work within the limitations I’m currently experiencing.

I do have a large catering order for Thursday, along with 8 other specialty orders that need to be completed between today and Friday. While the store will be closed to walk-in customers, all previously scheduled special orders will still be filled and will be ready for pickup or delivered as planned. ❤️

I know the changes in my hours and availability can be frustrating, and I understand that it may sometimes make me appear unreliable. Please know that right now, I am honestly doing the very best I can with the limitations I have.

It isn't easy for me to close the doors when I know there are people who would love to stop in, but at this point, I have to be realistic about what my body will allow me to do. I’m trying to find the balance between continuing to serve my customers and taking care of myself so that I can keep moving forward.

And I want you to know how beyond appreciative I am for every special order that continues to come my way. 🥹❤️ Every cake, cookie order, bread order, catering order and everything in between means more to me than you probably realize.

Over the next few months, I’m asking for a little extra patience and understanding as I navigate this season. Please know that I will always give as much as I possibly can to being there for you and taking care of the orders you trust me with.

Thank you for continuing to support The Bakery Barn, for understanding when things look a little different, and most of all, for continuing to show up for this little bakery.

‼️ Tuesday, Oct. 6th Update — Storefront Closed Today ‼️

I’ll be closing the storefront today so I can take the day completely off my feet and focus on managing my hip pain and mobility. 😞

I had a feeling last night that today might be one of those days when getting up and moving around simply wasn’t going to be realistic. I had two very long days this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, preparing for Monday’s Special Orders, and I also have a large catering order this Thursday along with several other special-order requests that I need to make sure I’m physically able to handle properly.

As frustrating as it is to have to make a last-minute decision like this, I know that taking today to rest is the responsible choice. My goal is to be in the best shape possible to take care of the orders and commitments I have for the remainder of the week.

I’ll also be using today to catch up on paperwork, messages, and other things that have been waiting for my attention. I know many of you are waiting to hear back from me, and having this time off my feet will allow me to work through those things and get back to you.

I also want to continue being as open and transparent as I can about what’s happening with me and with the bakery. I know that unexpected closures can be frustrating and inconvenient, and I truly understand that. I’m disappointed every time I have to make one of these decisions, too.

The reality is that as I work through the next several months and manage my hip and mobility issues while waiting for surgery in January, there may be days when I simply have to listen to what my body is telling me and take a step back.

I’ve always tried to share what I’m comfortable sharing because I never want my customers, friends, or community to be left wondering what is going on. When I’m able to communicate directly about these things, I hope it provides clarity and prevents misunderstandings about why the bakery may occasionally have to close or change plans unexpectedly.

This is a challenging season for me, but I’m doing everything I can to keep things moving, take care of the orders I’ve committed to, and continue taking care of my customers while also taking care of myself.

I’ll be working through messages and paperwork today and will get back to those who are waiting to hear from me as soon as I can.

Thank you, as always, for your patience, understanding, kindness, and continued support. It truly means more to me than you know.

Reimer Coffee Company is looking for a part- time experienced barista to join our team!

We're a specialty coffee shop that takes the craft seriously — from dialing in espresso and properly steaming milk to consistency, presentation, and creating a great experience for every customer.

We're looking for someone who:
• Has previous professional barista experience
• Has specialty coffee experience or a strong understanding of espresso
• Is comfortable dialing in espresso and making adjustments
• Can properly steam and texture milk
• Understands coffee fundamentals, recipes, ratios, and consistency
• Can maintain quality during a busy rush
• Keeps their station clean, organized, and stocked
• Takes pride in their work and pays attention to details
• Is dependable, punctual, hardworking, and team-oriented
• Is comfortable receiving feedback and continuing to learn
• Genuinely enjoys coffee and connecting with customers

We don't expect you to know everything — but we do expect you to care about the craft, take ownership of your work, and want to keep getting better.
