UNREAL….
That’s the word that describes my feelings.
Over the past few days, as I saw June approaching I stood in awe at the fact that my little food business has been thriving for 5 years 🎉🎉🎉🥳🥳🥳.
Yes, THIS month, THIS year marks five years since we went Live in the food industry, and it feels surreal to say the least🥹🥹
What started as a pandemic pop-up has morphed into something so extraordinary and beyond my wildest imagination!
With so many things going on I had to take a few days to recognize what I’ve done and continue to do with Trini Bites and it’s all because of YOU. 🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️
In the coming days you will see more of a recap of where we’ve been during these 5years and none of those experiences would’ve been possible without the love and support of my family (especially the Hubby, kids, and sister) my TRUE friends, fellow restauranteurs and entrepreneurs , and of course, clients, both returning and new- I THANK YOU🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️🥹🥹
Outside of this month marking our 5 year Business anniversary in the industry I’m also celebrating the following:
Caribbean American Heritage Month: a month that means more to me every year as I get older, as I watch my parents, the 🇹🇹 OGs 🥹😃 and the ones that planted their culture seed in me , getting older,as I see my business getting older, and it fills me with so much joy, gratitude, and love for my 🇹🇹 roots, and the fire that was fueled in me by my culture to get this business off the ground. What goes beyond all of it is seeing my kids, second generation Trinidadian- Americans embodying the culture through the food and the music….it is absolutely priceless🥹🥹
Graduation: my eldest daughter is graduating from high school and heading off to college so all the things are happening around me and Trini bites, as we prepare for graduation, prom and everything that comes with senior activities. We couldn’t be more proud and blessed to be her parents.
So, needless to say, lots to be grateful for. Lots to be thankful for. Lots more work to be done. This is only the tip of the iceberg…
