❤️ Behind every great meal is a great family.
We're incredibly excited to share that we've partnered with the Moeckly Farms and have purchased two of the cattle that Nick proudly showed through the North Polk FFA program this year.
This year is especially meaningful as the North Polk FFA Chapter celebrates its 50th anniversary, making it the perfect time to recognize the impact the program has had on generations of young agricultural leaders.
The Moeckly family farm is an eighth-generation farm, established in 1854, the very same year the Iowa State Fair began. For more than 170 years, their family has continued to farm the same ground, carrying on a legacy of hard work, stewardship, and a commitment to future generations.
Many of you have probably driven past the "big red barn" just outside of Polk City and admired the cattle grazing nearby. That's the Moeckly family farm, known for decades as the Iowa home of Registered White Park cattle before expanding their herd through thoughtful crossbreeding with Angus.
Today, Tyler and Anna's three boys, Jon, Jacob, and Nick continue that legacy as eighth-generation Moecklys. Through the North Polk FFA program, they've grown their passion for agriculture while learning the values that help shape the future of farming.
We're honored to partner with the Moeckly family and can't wait to serve their locally raised beef at Whatcha Smokin' in the future.
If you're headed to the Iowa State Fair, be sure to cheer on Nick and the rest of the North Polk FFA students as they showcase the future of agriculture.
Here's to family, tradition, and supporting the next generation. ❤️
